whatt.io Launches DPP Validator Web Service — Built on CIRPASS-2 Open Source Infrastructure

whatt.io announces today the launch of its new DPP Validator web service, now available in the whatt.io App Store. The validator is built on open-source technology developed within the EU CIRPASS-2 project, a project in which whatt.io is an active participant.

Leveraging official CIRPASS-2 ontology from the Digital Product Passport framework, whatt.io has developed a user-friendly interface, making DPP validation simple and accessible.

### From Product URL to Validation in Seconds

Users enter a Product URL; the system automatically extracts the associated DPP data (JSON format). The validator checks data against official CIRPASS-2 ontology standards, providing clear feedback. The tool indicates:

* Compliance with standards

* Missing information

* Areas for improvement

* DPP structure deployment readiness

All validations are logged, enabling companies to track improvements and maintain compliance documentation over time.

### Built on Open Standards

The validation engine is based on the open-source DPP Validator developed within the CIRPASS-2 project and aligned with the DPP Vocabulary Hub. whatt.io acknowledges the CIRPASS-2 consortium and its contributing developers for providing the open infrastructure that supports standardized Digital Product Passport validation across Europe.

### AI-Assisted Improvement

The validator integrates Bernard, whatt.io's digital assistant, who interprets validation results and guides users in improving their DPP data. This makes advanced semantic validation accessible to technical experts, brands, manufacturers, and compliance teams alike.

### Available Now

The whatt.io DPP Validator is available as a web service via the whatt.io App Store.

This launch reinforces whatt.io’s pivotal role in shaping and implementing the future of EU Digital Product Passport infrastructure.
